History

If you thought psychoanalysis began and ended with Freud, we hope to enlighten you. While it has always been said that most psychotherapeutic theories and techniques owe a huge debt to psychoanalysis, it is also true that currently many of the most innovative thinkers, clinicians, and theorists are psychoanalytic making contributions to clinical practice in many areas. Blending developmental and attachment theory, family therapy concepts, object relations, self psychology - and even cognitive and behavioral notions.
